This resource addresses the modern fire risk to socio-ecological systems and how Indigenous Knowledge can help manage these fire risks. Although an important part of controlling fire situations, Indigenous knowledge continues to be detached from dominant colonial management making it hard to implement Indigenous practices. The report summarizes a “collaborative experiment” that incorporated Indigenous fire management practices with western practices.
